Want to help support your young child's development?
Are you wondering how as a parent you can set your young child up for success?
Are you waiting for early intervention services and want to know what you can do as a parent?
Raising a child does not come with instructions!
How do you make sure that you are raising a child and meeting their cognitive and emotional needs?
I remember when I was pregnant with my first child, I was so excited! I had visions of parenting and family life! Those visions quickly become fuzzy as you wonder how the heck is this REALLY going to work, when you are handed a live human! Even with my educational background and experience I remember feeling unsure and doubting myself, am I equipped, will I know what to do, what do I do now, it just seems different when it is your own child!
I had to learn new skills on how to be a mom and a parent to my own child! I had to learn how to raise good humans with my emotions, while working and doing all the other "mom" stuff, it definitely was different than working with other people's kids in their homes!
Having my own children gave me a better, whole vision perspective of what families, kids and parents needed! My own struggles helped me to be better at my job (although it didn't feel like it in the moment)! AND rest assured my kids still joke today that the reason I am a parent coach is because I made and learned from the MANY mistakes I made with them!
Even though my children are older I am still learning new ways to communicate, interact and teach skills and now I am so excited to offer support to parents in a different way! I have been a long time advocate to teaching parents because quite honestly that is where real change happens. Yes it is important to reach out to doctores, therapist and those professionals that can help your child and work directly with them when needed. AND it's a partnership. Parents need to carry over skills in the home, if your child needs to make some changes the one thing I am certain of is it needs to start with us, the parents!
There are two parts to children learning new skills, yes we can teach the child BUT the real change happens when parents learn and reinforce those skills at home! So many parents don't feel equipped to carryover skills at home, and I totally understand that! AND here is your opportunity to learn!
If you are unsure as a parent, no worries I have created an online class that will guide you in lots of areas of development, what you can do at home to teach and play with your child and how you can support your child's development and ensure as a parent you are providing them with the foundations and the best opportunity to grow and thrive! My goal is to empower parents to empower their chidren and teach them from a young age how to lay the foundation for success! In my free mini class you can learn some small changes to create big results with your little one! You will also learn some simple shifts to promote language development! Coming soon I have a full class on what you can do as a parent in other areas such as play and self help skills as well as a preschool class!
