Routines Directly Impact Social Emotional Health

Routines and Social Emotional Health are some of the foundations that help a child be successful and confident across all settings.

The research shows that children's family routines impact their social emotional health.

according to the Mayo Clinic social emotional health can be defined as

"developing the capacity to form relationships, experience and regulate emotions, and explore and learn."

Recent studies suggest that creating routines help kids develop social emotional health.

In fact in a recent article in Science Daily,

"Results showed that children who participate in five family routines are more than twice as likely to have high SEH and for each additional routine that a parent and child do together, there is an almost 50 percent greater likelihood of having high SEH."

When a child has great understanding and capacity for social emotional health they are able to socialize with peers and adults, they have greater performance in the classroom and can be a predictor in life success.
